Students of Federal Government College (FGC) Kaduna have assured that the coveted prizes of Robotic and Artificial Intelligence Clubs Competition slated for the United States of America would be won by them.

Bouyed by their performance at the National Robotic and Artificial Intelligence Competition in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja early this year, the students said that they were set to storm California, USA, for the international competition.

The team code-named Team Kaduna: KAD_CODERS emerged 2nd runners up at the recently concluded National Robotic and Artificial Intelligent.

The feat is unprecedented in the history of Federal Government College Kaduna since it was founded in 1973. The feat earned the team many gifts with a trip to California, USA, for the 2025 international competition.

The t10 members of the team are Elizabeth Sinkalu Olayinka, Ibrahim Cajethan Ebuka, Abubakar Sadiq Mohammad, Obadafin Precious Ajibobola, Aisha Muhammad, Anita Michael Akoka, Abubakar Amina Hassan, Vangnum S. Ishaya, Hikmat Obadari, Jovial Banki and their Coach, Muhammad Magaji.

The Principal of the school, Mr Adewale Adeyanju, was full of praises for the team. He said, “I was happy when I learnt of the result from the National Robotic and Artificial Intelligence Competition in Abuja. It was a commendable feat and I told them that. However, I told the team that I looked forward to the global competition in California, USA. It will be my greatest joy if they can fly the country flag and make Nigeria proud by coming first. They actually have the potentials and their Coach assured me that the team is in high spirit and preparation is also in top gear.

“I’m in support of technological competition which is what the robotic and artificial intelligence is all about. We are deliberately focusing on breeding the next generation of tech experts in Federal Government College, Kaduna right from JSS. We are working on catching them young, make them focus and impactful in our society.”
