FIN Insurance Company Limited is targeting Muslim community to deepen insurance penetration in the country.

This is even as the insurer donated about 250 food and drinks packs to Muslim faithful at the 1004 Central Mosque, Victoria Island, Lagos, in the spirit of Ramadan

Speaking on this development shortly after the donation, the executive director, Technical Operations of the insurance company, Kolawole Adekoya said, this gesture was a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) so as to give back to the society it operates from.

Noting that the gesture was geared towards supporting Muslims, who are presently fasting and praying for the well-being of the country, he urged Muslims to embrace insurance which remains one of the best means to mitigate risks.

To him, FIN Insurance and her sister companies – Cornerstone Insurance Plc and Hilal Takaful Nigeria have both conventional and Islamic policies to meet their insurance needs.

According to him, the company, through the initiative, expressed empathy to people within the environment it operates.

Similarly , the head, Technical, FIN Insurance Company Limited, Olalekan Moshood, said the insurer is working with the Muslim community in Victoria Island where its office resides, in a move to sell insurance products and services to those uninsured. Saying some Muslims in that community are already policyholders of the company, he added that the move to further raise awareness in the Muslim community is to ensure more people are insured through FIN Insurance.

The company’s gesture, he noted, would enable it to associate with Muslims who are presently fasting in line with the tenets of Ramadan, promising that the company would continue to relate and educate the people on the needs and benefits of insurance.

Earlier, the Chief Imam, 1004 Central Mosque, Sheikh Suleiman Ibrahim has commended the insurer for its kind gesture, especially, in the Holy month of fasting, saying that, aside the fact that it is rewarding before Allah to feed the needy, it also show the company cares about people living in the community it operates.
