Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has disclosed moves to revoke lands that are yet to be developed within the state capital.
The governor made the disclosure yesterday saying, government will revoke ownership of any landed property that has remained undeveloped since the defunct Gongola state within a month.
Fintiri said his administration has made significant strides in providing improved security measures which have contributed to the state’s socio-economic growth and development. This, in turn, has created a conducive environment for hospitality businesses to thrive.
The governor acknowledged the late Jibrin Abdulaziz Satumari, founder of Satus Hotel, for his tireless efforts in promoting societal growth and empowering younger generations.
During the inauguration, Fintiri emphasized that Adamawa State has become a hub for development and a magnet for investors in the northeastern region.
He stressed that undeveloped landed properties hinder the state’s progress. To address this, the government will revoke ownership of such properties and offer compensation in distant areas, paving the way for individuals and organisations willing to contribute to the state’s development.
Managing director of Satus Hotel, has praised Governor Fintiri for championing human and infrastructural development in Adamawa.
He noted that the governor’s efforts have elevated the state’s standing among the country’s developed states. As a token of appreciation, Satumari announced that the hotel management would offer the state government a 20 percent discount on all services rendered.
The governor and his entourage were impressed by the hotel’s state-of-the-art equipment during a tour of the facilities.
This development underscores Fintiri’s commitment to transforming Adamawa State into a thriving economic hub.
