A fire outbreak has burned down the office of the chairman of Yauri local government area, Hon Abubakar Shu’aibu in Kebbi State.

An indigene of the area, Ahmed Sarkin Yaki Yauri, who disclosed the incident to LEADERSHIP by phone, said the fire, which came from nowhere, burned down the office structure completely to ashes in the early hours of Monday.

Though there was no record of death, Sarkin Yaki added that official documents, furniture and other properties of the chairman were all burned to ashes by the inferno.

All efforts to reach out to the chairman,  Hon Abubakar Shu’aibu, for comments failed as his phone was switched off.
