Fire Guts Section Of Government House Katsina

Reports from Katsina State indicate that a fire broke out in the early hours of Monday, September 2, 2024, at a section of the Government House.

Though no casualties were recorded as a result of the fire outbreak, an eyewitness within the Government House revealed that the fire burnt part of the chamber even though security personnel restricted people, including journalists, from entry.

The source added that the Fire Service department successfully put out the fire at about 6:00 am.
At the time of this report, the government has yet to make an official statement about the incident. It occurred as the governor embarked on a public engagement tour across the state’s 34 local government areas.
