One of the leading fintech companies in Abuja, Middey financial application, has called for the expansion fintech of operations in other business sectors to integrate financial technology as this can offer great benefit to people in other lines of businesses around the world.

This is as the fintech innovator and Chief Executive Officer of the firm, John Mfon John, declared that the fintech industry also needs to spread its tentacles to other areas of human interest and not just concentrate on only financial operations.

Mfon while speaking to journalists said away from looking into banking activities, like savings, loans, investments, and accounting, the fintech industry can also channel its energy into making life easy for those at other business sectors like the real estate business, hospitality and e-commerce, among others.

He said, “Apart from looking into loans, investments, accounting, fintech should look into solving physical problems like simplifying real estate operations (the aspect where buyers connect with sellers), hospitality where hotels can be booked with ease, e-commerce like what we have with Kongapay, Jumiapay and others.

He maintained that fintech can make smart business operations for seamless delivery of services.

“Smart Business Operations like Digital menu instead of paper menu at restaurants & bars

“Portal systems for hospitals, with the advent of AI, we can even delve further into blockcahain electioneering which offers transparency & anti rigging solutions etc.

“Opay offered transportation/ride hailing services which projected it to mainstream popularity in Nigeria, ” he said.

However, the financial technocrat maintained that the industry can do more if all stakeholders can come together to buy into his idea towards delivering better results and serving the general public in more capacities than just offering core fintech operations.

It could be recalled in July, 2022 Mfon launched “Middey”, a fast growing app as a fintech app gaining widespread adoption for managing payroll for businesses, corporate organizations while also integrating AI based services for smart operations in other business sectors.
