Firm Champions Gender Inclusion, Drives STEM Access for Girls

Leading Nigerian ICT firm, ipNX, has reaffirmed its commitment to gender inclusion and women’s empowerment as it marked the 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD), with a series of initiatives aimed at inspiring the next generation of female innovators.

Aligned with the global theme, “Give to Gain,” the company rolled out impactful programmes focused on mentorship, knowledge sharing, and access to opportunities, all geared towards strengthening the participation of women and girls in Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.

As part of its outreach, ipNX visited Victoria Island Senior Secondary School, Lagos, where it engaged female students in an interactive session designed to spark interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Similarly, the initiative also highlights the school’s inclusion in ipNX’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, through which it provides free broadband internet access to enhance digital learning.

Speaking during the session, Account Manager, ipNX Business, Mary Falade, underscored the importance of early exposure and continuous mentorship in bridging the gender gap in technology. She said, “When you give yourself to learning, discipline, and growth, you gain opportunities, confidence, and a future without limits. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself.”

Similarly, the company strengthened its advocacy through a virtual webinar featuring renowned technology leader, Dr Nadu Denloye, who delivered a keynote presentation titled, “Beyond Inclusion: Women Building Influence, Driving Impact and Accelerating Growth.”

Denloye, while drawing from her professional journey, emphasised the need for resilience, leadership, and intentional growth among women in the digital space. She provided practical strategies for navigating challenges and driving meaningful impact within Africa’s evolving technology landscape.

On her part, the group executive director, Corporate Services, ipNX, Folashade Efiong-Bassey, reiterated the company’s long-term vision to foster inclusivity in the digital economy.

“We are committed to inspiring the next generation and creating pathways for women and young girls to thrive in STEM. Our efforts are focused on providing access, opportunities, and the right support systems to help them build meaningful careers in the digital economy,” she stated.

She added, “By continuing to champion equal opportunities and amplifying the achievements of women in technology, we are contributing to a future where more women can participate, lead, and succeed.”

According to the firm, the initiatives reflect its broader vision of building a people-focused and innovative organisation, while driving sustainable impact through digital inclusion, mentorship, and strategic engagement across Nigeria and beyond.
