The call was contained in a petition by Summit Chambers Minna, jointly signed by Barrister Gimba Mohammed and Barrister Mohammed Wonigi, to the Niger State Police Command, a copy obtained by LEADERSHIP Sunday.

The legal firm said they were solicitors to one Abdulaziz Ibrahim, who approached them to seek redress for the killing of his brother, the late Alhaji Labaran Ibrahim.

“On January 13, 2025, one Kawule of Anguwan Kaje area of Minna, and one other person, went to buy engine oil from the engine oil stand of the deceased and after it was sold to them, they questioned the sum of one thousand naira of what they consumed which became a matter of argument between them and the sales boy”.

“However, while the deceased tried to reconcile them, the said Kawule struck him with a cutlass during which he sustained serious injuries on his head and resulted in his death on the 14th January, 2025.

“As if that was not enough, the assailant and five other persons fulfilled their earlier promise and returned to the scene of the incident with offensive weapons like matchets and guns to inflict more injuries on the victims and other innocent citizens at the Filling Station,” the petition revealed.

The solicitors therefore stated that the call for a thorough investigation became necessary with the view to bringing all the culprits to justice.

The legal firm assured that their client will make himself available for more information and assistance in the course of investigation.
