A Nigerian technology company, Abaatech Solutions Limited, has introduced a locally developed multi-functional digital platform known as Abaaly, designed to integrate communication, social interaction, and financial services within a single application.
Speaking in Lagos, the founder and chief executive officer of Abaatech Solutions, Power Aden, described the initiative as part of efforts to promote digital inclusion and strengthen indigenous innovation in the country’s technology ecosystem.
According to Aden, the application was conceived and developed entirely in Nigeria by a team of local engineers between 2021 and 2025. He explained that the platform provides users with tools for messaging, voice and video communication, social networking, and secure financial transactions.
“Abaaly was built to connect Nigerians and showcase our capacity for technological creativity. It allows users to chat, share multimedia content, and make payments without leaving a conversation,” he said.
He noted that the app also includes features that enable offline operation, particularly for users in rural communities with limited internet connectivity. Aden added that its design incorporates multiple layers of data protection to ensure user privacy and transaction security.
The firm stated that the project aligns with the objectives of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS), and supports the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and local content development.
The CEO alludes that beyond its technological component, the platform aims to serve as a hub for Nigerian creators and entrepreneurs to showcase local content and build economic opportunities.
“We encourage Nigerian content creators and innovators to leverage this platform to tell authentic stories and promote the nation’s creative potential,” he said.
Consequently, local innovation will contribute to the growth of the digital economy by improving access to communication tools and financial services across different segments of society.
