Golfers across northern Nigeria are set for a competitive weekend as the third edition of the FirstBank Kaduna Golf Tournament begins on 28 March at the Kaduna Golf Club.

Speaking ahead of the event, Idris Ibrahim of First Bank of Nigeria Limited reaffirmed the bank’s long-standing commitment to the sport, noting that its support for golf in Nigeria spans more than six decades.

He highlighted the partnership with the Kaduna golfing community since 2023, describing the tournament as part of FirstBank’s broader mission to foster relationships and strengthen communities across the region.

“The values of golf—integrity, discipline, resilience and respect—align closely with what we stand for as an institution,” Ibrahim said.

The tournament will bring together both professional and amateur players, offering a platform for talent development, mentorship and potential international exposure.
