The governor who described it as sad and unfortunate, assured of government assistance for the victims.

Governor Buni directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide the victims necessary relief packages to cushion their hardships.

Governor Buni who had earlier reported the flood to NEMA, commended the agency for its positive response, assuring to follow up with an updated report covering more communities severely affected. The governor said government would also look into proactive measures of providing permanent solutions to check future occurrence.

“With these experiences, we will look at all possible measures to curb the menace of flood and its impact on the communities in the future,” he said.

The governor urged the affected communities to move to safer grounds and avoid areas prone to more floods.
