Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (retd.), held a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Musa arrived at the State House at exactly 7:03 pm. This is his first public visit to the Villa since his retirement from service on October 24, 2025.

The engagement comes at a time of heightened security concerns across parts of the North, following the abduction of schoolgirls in Maga, Kebbi State; the attack on Muslim worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State; and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna, Niger State.

Security agencies have in recent days intensified counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central in response to the incidents.

General Musa, who served as Chief of Defence Staff from June 2023 until his retirement this year, oversaw several joint military operations targeting banditry and terrorism during his tenure.
