Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, has donated a new transformer valued at N11.8 million to NTA community in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
The intervention is expected to end the community’s eight-month wait for electricity reconnection, with the installation scheduled to begin soon.
The residents described the donation as a timely relief, noting that the prolonged outage had disrupted daily activities and placed economic pressure on households and small businesses.
Geoffrey Naps Nangido, one of the commenters, said the former minister has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare of his people.
Another resident, Abubakar, said the gesture had rekindled their hope after months of uncertainty.
A third commenter, who requested anonymity, stated that he expects the donation to inspire similar interventions from individuals within and outside the government, emphasising that many communities in Taraba State are in dire need of support in key economic sectors.
