Ariaria Stakeholders Forum (ASF) has accused the chairman of Aba North local government area, Abia State, Timothy Iheke of high-handedness, noting that Iheke should be called to order.
The ASF chairman, Emmanuel Chukwudi, stated this in Aba while addressing the press over the alleged use of soldiers by Iheke to arrest and detain the managing director of Star Nkey Ventures Nig. Benedict Elias.
Chukwudi asserted that Elias, a duly appointed revenue agent of the State Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) was arrested with regard to revenue collection at Ariaria International Market, Aba.
“He was unlawfully arrested without any warrant of arrest and detained without any detention order at the Central Police Station (CPS), Umuahia for two days over the allegation”.
