The Administrative Officers’ Forum (AOF), Delta State Civil Service has commended  Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing seasoned administrative officers as permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

Prominent among them were Dr Onyejebechi Onyisi Nkenchor and Mr Nkemachor Lucky. They were among the 11 new permanent secretaries inaugurated on Wednesday in Asaba, Delta State.

The commendation came from the chairman of AOF, Comrade Itobore Emokiniovo, shortly after their swearing-in ceremony, describing the appointments as a move that would further deepen administrative efficiency and enhance quality service delivery across government establishments.

Governor Oborevwori administered the oath of office on the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in what Itobore described as another strategic step towards strengthening efficiency, professionalism and effective service delivery in the state public service.

Itobore described their appointment as well-deserved and reflective of the governor’s commitment to rewarding competence, diligence and administrative excellence within the civil service.

He noted that the emergence of the two experienced officers had inspired renewed confidence among members of the administrative cadre, given their proven track records, vast institutional knowledge and enduring commitment to public service over the years.

According to the Forum’s chairman, the appointments would not only strengthen the administrative structure of the civil service but also promote greater efficiency and productivity across ministries, departments and agencies in the state.

Itobore particularly extolled the credentials of Mr. Onyejebechi Onyeisi Nkenchor, describing him as a thoroughbred administrator whose experience spans about 12 ministries, departments and agencies within the Delta State Civil Service.

He noted that Mr. Lucky Nkenachor on the other hand had served as Director of Administration in the Directorate of Government House and also held key administrative responsibilities in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

He stated that both officers extensive exposure in public administration had adequately prepared them for the responsibilities of a Permanent Secretary, expressing optimism that they would bring these wealth of experience and administrative expertise to bear in the discharge of their new assignments.

The AOF chairman further described then as highly resourceful, disciplined and qualitative officers whose professional conduct and invaluable contributions have continued to distinguish the administrative cadre in the state civil service.

While congratulating the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Itobore expressed optimism that the appointments would further motivate hardworking officers within the service and strengthen confidence in the state’s merit-driven administrative system.

Itobore however appealed to Governor Oborevwori to continue to shine his spotlight on the administrative cadre in future appointments, noting that the cadre is populated by several competent, experienced and dedicated officers who possess the requisite capacity to serve the state effectively at higher administrative levels.
