Obicare Charity Foundation has distributed over 3,000 60-leaves exercise books to primary school pupils across Ohafia local government, Abia State.

At Ogbokwe Primary School, Asaga Ohafia, the founder/CEO of the foundation, Obinna Odum told LEADERSHIP that the gesture was in recognition of the importance he attached to education.

“I want to give back to the society. And one of the ways I have chosen to do it is through education. As you’re aware, the best level to begin is from primary school.”

“We have been to different schools in the three clans in the area for this purpose and both the teachers and the pupils showed great appreciation for the gesture,” he said.

The founder advised parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards are registered in government-approved schools for quality education and moral upbringing.

He noted that having concluded with the exercise, the foundation would go back to the drawing board to decide other areas it could assist to develop education in the area.
