SIHAJ Care for Children Foundation has distributed school bags to pupils of Ideal Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Orphanage School in Agassa, Okene local government area of Kogi State.
The chairman of the foundation, Bala Ayivonyi, said the outreach, tagged “Bag Outreach 1.0”, was to support vulnerable children who lack basic educational materials.
The foundation said the initiative was driven by the need to reduce barriers to learning and encourage school attendance among disadvantaged pupils.
Speaking at the event, the chairman urged the children to remain focused on their education and to believe in their potential.
Ayivonyi described education as a powerful tool that can shape their future, stressing that background or circumstance should not limit ambition. He encouraged the pupils to work hard, stay curious and remain hopeful, assuring them of the foundation’s continued support.
He also noted that the distribution was made possible through the support of donors, volunteers and partners who share the foundation’s commitment to improving access to education for vulnerable children.

The foundation said the Bag Outreach 1.0 programme is part of its broader efforts to improve learning conditions and promote equal access to education across the state.
