Protect The Child Foundation has empowered over 100 beneficiaries including people with disabilities in a skills and empowerment support programme in Kogi State.

The skills acquisition aspect includes training in fashion designing, tailoring, catering, photography and videography, cosmetology and other relevant skills to support them and their families.

The executive director of the organisation, Barrister Mrs. Elizabeth Ebulejonu Achimugu, in her opening remarks during inauguration, said the beneficiaries were from Lokoja and Idah local government areas of the state.

She said this was part of the ongoing implementation of Project Ebulejonu, focusing on sensitisation and advocacy against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

According to her, the programme being the third phase of Project Ebulejonu was dedicated to the advancement of the rights of women, children and persons with disabilities.
