Fati Abubakar Arts Foundation (FAAF), with the support of the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) in Nigeria, has opened a call to train budding photographers in the Nort East in the art of visual storytelling.

A reputable female photographer, Fati Abubakar’s photographic narratives documented the insurgency-rocked North East states, particularly Borno and Adamawa, and the power of the peoples’ resiliency in rebuilding their communities, gained her international fame, resulting in her works being featured in exhibitions, galleries and residencies across Europe and Asia.

She has dedicated her foundation to the promotion of visual storytelling education amongst northern youths, among other activities.

The 10-day free intensive workshop on photography and visual storytelling is open to residents of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States.
