A non-governmental organisation, Charity Ayo Foundation, has provided free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to some students in the Maya Community of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The founder of the Charity Ayo Foundation, Miss Charity Olaifa, stated that the organisation aimed to sponsor students from Maya Community Senior Grammar School to take the exam to promote educational development in the community.
Miss Olaifa explained that the students were selected through a rigorous and competitive process based on academic excellence and financial need.
She said, “Following a thorough assessment, the Foundation conducted tests for the selected students and offered sponsorship to those who successfully met the requirements.
“As a responsible and responsive NGO, we prioritise education. No nation can develop without educating its citizens,” she emphasised.
Olaifa encouraged the youth to take their studies seriously if they wished to achieve their future goals. She urged the students to embrace their education to secure a better future, stating that this initiative aligns with the foundation’s mission to support the underprivileged.
Also, the school principal, Mrs Olugbaro Oluwatoyin, expressed her gratitude to the Charity Ayo Foundation for their generous gesture at the event.
She also urged the fortunate students to make the most of this opportunity by studying diligently to excel in the exam.
