A non-governmental organisation, the OjayAjaifia Foundation for Children with Disabilities (OFCD), will launch its comprehensive initiatives on September 27, 2025, to empower children with disabilities across the country.

This event will mark a major step toward promoting inclusion and support for children with disabilities nationwide.

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja, the founder of OFCD, Madam Ojay Ajaifia, revealed that the foundation recently hosted an exclusive pre-launch engagement under the theme: “Empowering Children With Disabilities: From Vision to Action.”

The event brought together key stakeholders, potential partners, and representatives from civil society organisations.

“Following our successful pre-launch engagement, the foundation is now preparing for its official public launch in September,” Ajaifia stated.

She presented a comprehensive foundation overview, highlighting its early impact projects and outlining strategic goals to drive transformative change.

Also, Dr Chike Okogwu, chief responsibility officer at the Centre for Ability, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment (CARE), passionately urged attendees to move beyond vision and step boldly into action, emphasising that great ideas mean little without collective effort to bring them to life.

Okogwu underscored the power of unity, encouraging collaboration, intentional partnerships, and mutual support to turn dreams into tangible change.

He challenged OFCD and its partners to be bold and unapologetic about their incredible work—urging them to take up space, share their stories, and let the world witness their impact.

“The objective of the pre-launch was to solicit crucial partnerships and support by providing attendees with a concise overview of OFCD’s foundational work, its proven early impact since April 2025, and its strategic roadmap for fostering an inclusive future for children with disabilities,” he said.

“We are incredibly encouraged by the enthusiasm and support received at our pre-launch event,” he added.

“Our vision is clear, and our early projects demonstrate our commitment to immediate and tangible impact.”

“We call on all individuals and organisations to join us on September 27 as we formally embark on this journey to create a more inclusive and equitable future for children with disabilities.”
