Fubara To Declare Open 43rd Public Service Games In Rivers

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will this Sunday, December 1, 2024, declare open the 43rd edition of the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) being hosted by the state.

The state’s commissioner for Information and Communications, Warisenibo Joe Johnson, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Sunday morning.

Johnson stated that the opening ceremony scheduled for 12 noon at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt, will have in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, including federal government officials.

He stated that over 8,000 athletes from 80 ministries, departments and agencies of federal government, in addition to Team Rivers, were participating in the games that have witnessed intense competition.

The statement said the governor is expected to witness the march past of the participating teams while also taking salutes from them.
