FUPRE Students Urged To Make Impact, Be Change Agent

Students of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Delta state, have been urged to embrace positive strides in their journey through life to achieve global success.

The charge was given by the Founder of the Kolade Adepoju Mentoring Program, (KAMP), Dr. Kolade Adepoju, during the KAMP Conference 2025, themed “Accelerate” at the university.

Adepoju disclosed that KAMP as a body has a vision of empowering over 10,000 youths annually to become change agents in their chosen career through education and academic relevance.
Speaking on the theme of the KAMP conference ‘Accelerate’ to students of FULPRE, Adepoju explained that acceleration in life is for one to move in the speed of life in making impact in destiny.

The KAMP Founder said that his body is going to award full scholarship to selected students of FUPRE, noting that the core mandate of the body is to help build and develop people into exemplary leaders, that can achieve accelerated growth and attain excellence in their personal and professional lives.

He implored the students to go for vision, associate with the right company, exercise patience and adhere to the God factor in making transformative impact in life.

“To accelerate means to move with speed however for us in KAMP, it’s not just about speed but moving with speed to make positive impact in life and destiny”.

“The core mandate of KAMP is to help build and develop exemplary leaders that can achieve accelerated growth and attain excellence. Hence our vision is to empower over 10,000 youths annually so that they can become change agents in any chosen career thereby becoming relevant personalities to be reckoned with in society” Adepoju said.

On his parts, Vice Chancellor of FUPRE, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh who was represented by the Dean of Engineering and Technology, Prof Ikuobase Emovon, after declaring the event open, commended Adepoju and his team for their passion in developing youths especially undergraduate of FUPRE and also for completing the solar water project at the female hostel of the institution.

The President, Student Union Government, (SUG), FUPRE, Comrade Edemakiota Oghenemaro and others described the event as impactful and lauded the organizers of the program for bringing such event to their school.

Wife to the leader of KAMP, Mrs. Faith Adepoju called on the students not to give up in life.

Dr. Korede Adams lectured on ‘good ambassador’, Dr. Joy Anoh lectured on ‘Excelling in your academical career without loosing balance’ and the Chief Medical Director of FUPRE, Dr. Lawal spoke on ‘Drug Abuse’, they encouraged young ones to aspire to growth in life.
