GAA Holds  Seminar For Coaches, Gamemasters, Others

Ahead of the Gombe State Athletics Association (GAA) primary school athletics meet, the association has concluded plans to hold training seminars for coaches, games masters and technical officials.

This was contained in a press statement released yesterday by the GAA media officer, Inuwa Mohammed.

He said the training seminar, scheduled to hold from Monday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Gombe State University Center, is aimed at preparing coaches, game-masters and other stakeholders for the all-important catch them young athletics event.

According to the release, over 36 primary schools in Gombe have indicated readiness to participate in the developmental event geared towards talent discovery.

Mohammed added that the GAA chairman and financier of the competition, Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe, has assured participants of mutual beneficial, saying the seminar will be anchored by experienced resource personalities – Dr. Alex Manna, Mohammed Kolo, Prince Simon Ayuba, veteran marathon legend Abass Mohammed, and others.
