The GENDA Empowerment Foundation is hosting the 4th Edition of the Africa Youth Conference (AYC 4.0), scheduled for June 17th, 2025, in West Africa. The conference, themed “We Are Stars: Thriving in a World of Limitless Opportunities,” AYC 4.0 will focus on the critical role of youth in driving sustainable development through innovation, infrastructure development, and inclusive industrialisation.

The conference will bring together youth leaders, policymakers, technocrats, and development stakeholders across Africa in collaboration with esteemed partners, including the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, UNESCO, and the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Center.
The conference aims to address the pressing challenges of our time and discuss solutions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 – building resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialisation, and fostering innovation.

With a special emphasis on youth participation in peace, security, and socio-economic development, AYC 4.0 aims to empower young leaders and enable them to actively advance Africa’s transformation. Discussions will focus on innovative solutions to address unemployment, poverty, inequality, and underdevelopment, creating pathways for youth to shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

According to the convener, David Nwokorie, this year’s conference will raise awareness, foster collaboration, and offer policy recommendations to ensure youth voices are at the forefront of decision-making in development, peacebuilding, and governance. AYC 4.0 will also promote networking and partnerships among youth-led organisations, government agencies, international organisations, and the private sector to drive long-term impact across the continent.

“We invite organisations, institutions, and individuals to partner with us in this transformative initiative. By working together, we can provide youth with the necessary tools, resources, and platforms to thrive. Together, we can unlock the limitless potential of Africa’s youth and contribute to building a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous continent,” he added.
