The German government has announced the opening of applications for its scholarship programme targeting graduates and postgraduates across Sub-Saharan Africa, offering opportunities for advanced study and research.

The announcement was made on Friday via its official X handle, where Germany highlighted the initiative as part of its broader commitment to international academic cooperation and capacity building.

“DAAD scholarships are now available for graduates and postgraduates in Sub-Saharan Africa. See flier for more information and send in your applications. The deadline is 29 April 2026,” the post read.

The programme, coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), is highly competitive and attracts applicants from across the region seeking to advance their academic and professional careers.

Prospective candidates have been advised to carefully review the official application guidelines and ensure that all required documents are properly submitted.

“Applicants are advised to read all guidelines thoroughly and ensure that complete documents are submitted,” the statement added.
