GESA 2025 To Spotlight African Leadership, Innovation In Lagos

The 2025 edition of the Global Excellence Summit & Awards (GESA) has been officially unveiled, with organizers promising a high-level convergence of African leaders, diplomats, innovators, and investors in Lagos next May.

Unveiled at a press conference in Lagos, the two-day summit and awards ceremony will be held on May 23–24, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event will focus on advancing African leadership, innovation, and investment under the theme “Global Excellence in Diplomacy & Leadership: Africa’s Path to Prosperity.”

Convened by Amb. Dr. Fatoumatta Gaye, GESA 2025 is organized in partnership with the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, the International Society of Diplomats, the UNIPGC Africa, and the Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Inc.

According to Gaye, GESA 2025 “Is a celebration of excellence and a platform for collaboration, continental progress, and meaningful partnerships across diplomacy, business, and governance.”

The summit is expected to feature a distinguished lineup of speakers and honorees including:

Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu, Senate Spokesperson and Chair, Senate Committee on Youths & Community Engagement

Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Justice Mainasara Ibrahim Kogo Umar, Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal, H.E. George Muhali Imbuwa, Zambian High Commissioner to Nigeria and H.E. Mohamadou Musa Njie, Gambian High Commissioner to Nigeria

Day one will focus on diplomacy and business with panel sessions, bilateral meetings, and deal-making forums.

Day two will host the Global Excellence Awards & Gala Night, recognizing change-makers across sectors with entertainment and premium networking.
