Digital Services Company, Globacom, yesterday, presented a brand new Kia car to another winner in its ongoing consumer reward promo, Festival of Joy, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

27-year-old  Temitope Bakare emerged as the proud car winner, while other winners went home with home appliances including generating sets, sewing machines and rechargeable fans.

Bakare, a beautician did not picks calls to her line after the draw. She kept cutting it off, and, later switched off her phone. It was when Glo officials visited her at her residence that she realised that she had truly won a car in Festival of Joy promo.

She said, “When the calls kept coming and coming, I thought they were from fraudsters. Though I dialed *611# short code and kept recharging, I never thought I could win among millions of subscribers. This was why I decided to switch off my phone to block further calls”.

Bakare who received  keys to the car on Tuesday at a presentation ceremony in Ijebu Ode was accompanied to the event by member of her family  including her  father; Mr. Moroof Bakare, her aunt who gave her the lucky SIM that won her the car, Mrs. Adijat Adesoye, and members of her community amid pomp and pageantry.
