During the session, the girls were encouraged to pursue excellence in their studies and to remain confident in their ability to succeed in any chosen career path.

Globacom’s director of Strategy and Board Affairs, Mojisola Ashieru Sweet, urged the girls to be proud of their identities and to believe in the power of hard work and determination. Similarly, the company’s Head of Human Resources, Jumoke Aduwo, advised them to build strong character and resilience as key attributes for success.

Afterwards, the students embarked on a symbolic walk from the head office to Globacom’s Customer Care and Information Systems departments, where they learned some fundamental aspects of the company’s operations.

The day’s activities in Lagos concluded with a movie outing at Silverbird Cinemas, where the girls watched the Nollywood film “The Serpent’s Gift” featuring Linda Ejiofor and Chico Aligwejwe.

A similar event was held in Abuja, where girls from Al-Noor Academy, Wuse, and Redeemers Private School were hosted at the Glo office before being treated to a movie at Silverbird Cinema, Jabi Lake Mall.

The empowerment initiative was also replicated in Kaduna, Owerri, Port Harcourt, and Benin City, where students from various schools visited Glo offices before watching “The Serpent’s Gift.”

After the movie sessions, the girls participated in discussions on the lessons learned, an exercise designed to enhance their public speaking abilities and boost their self-confidence.
