Glovo, a leading technology platform operating in Europe, Africa, and Central Asia, has launched its flagship Glovo Academy programme in Nigeria to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
According to Glovo, the initiative, which kicked off in Lagos on September 2, 2025, is designed to build the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with growth potential through in-person and online training. The programme will also extend to Abuja and other cities, giving entrepreneurs nationwide access to business insights and practical skills for growth in the digital economy.
Speaking at the Lagos launch held at Ikeja Town Square yesterday, Glovo’s Longtail Lead in Nigeria, Mojisola Aluko-Olokun, said the academy underscores the company’s commitment to empowering local businesses while fostering broader social and economic development.
She noted that the academy would serve as a platform for innovation, capacity building, and stronger connections within Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem
Also speaking at the event, Tosin Ajose, founding partner of Dealhq Africa, delivered a training session on strategies for scaling and sustaining business growth. She urged entrepreneurs to build agility within their enterprises through continuous improvement, team resilience, investment in people, effective data systems, and a deeper understanding of customer needs.
