Gombe Govt Dedicates Phone Lines For Citizens’ Interaction With Governor

As part of efforts to encourage citizens’ participation in governance and bring government closer to the people, the Gombe State government has dedicated some phone lines for citizens to call and interact with the governor.

According to the special adviser to Governor Inuwa Yahaya on information management and strategy, Ahmed Gara Gombe, the lines have been dedicated for the citizens to make suggestions, recommendations and appeals to the governor.

“To ensure citizens participation in governance, dedicated lines have been allocated for the people of Gombe State to voice out their cries and appeals. If you dial the numbers and speak with the situation room, it is as if you are talking directly to His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya,” he said.

According to Gara, the dedicated lines are 09099900071 and 08070988878. He added that calls would be recorded for reference but identities of the callers would be protected except if they wished to be made known to the public.

This is just as he stated that the governor’s numbers would be available from 8am to 6pm from Mondays through Fridays and 24 Hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
