Good Governance: Yobe Govt Bags Best Due Process Award

The Yobe state government has clinched the Due Process and Good Governance best performing state award, by the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria.

The director general, Press Affairs and Media to the governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, said in a statement that the association described government transactions under Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration as transparent.

The Buni administration according to the statem has made the state government more transparent and accountable in all its dealings.

The association further commended Governor Buni for giving the state Public Procurement Bureau free hands to operate without hindrance.

The Public Procurement Bureau was also honoured in recognition of its non-compromising posture in awarding and executing state projects.

The state commissioner for Justice, Bar Saleh Samanja who represented Governor Buni at the award ceremony, commended the Association for the recognition, saying, “this is quite encouraging.”

“This award will encourage His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni CON and the government of Yobe state to intensify due process in government transactions and projects.

“We also have a very efficient and effective Bureau of Public Procurement that ensures strict compliance to due process in all government transactions and dealings.
