Gov Fintiri Warns APC Exco Against Anti-party Activities

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has cautioned newly elected officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State against engaging in anti-party activities and neglecting their responsibilities.

The governor issued the warning while receiving members of the newly- elected State Executive Council and 21 local government party chairmen during a thank-you visit at the Government House in Yola.

Fintiri congratulated the executives, who emerged through consensus, describing their emergence as a reflection of unity within the party.

He also commended the efforts of the state chairman in promoting cohesion and strengthening internal harmony.

He urged the leadership to consolidate on existing gains and support the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that ongoing reforms are beginning to have positive effects on citizens.

The governor further called on the party leaders to uphold transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability in the discharge of their duties, stressing the need to carry all members along and ensure that governance delivers tangible benefits to the people.

He assured the executives of his support and encouraged them to remain committed to strengthening the party ahead of future elections.

Fintiri also emphasized the need for unity, urging the leadership to avoid internal conflicts and work collectively for the growth of the party in the state.

Earlier, the state chairman of the APC, Hamza Bello Madagali, said the visit was to appreciate the governor for his support during the party congress and related activities.

He described the governor’s role as instrumental to the success of the party elections, adding that it has further strengthened the APC structure in Adamawa State.

Also speaking, the state secretary of the party, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, commended the governor’s leadership and pledged that the new executive would uphold the party’s ideals while working with stakeholders to advance development in the state.
