Newly sworn in governor of Taraba State, Col. Agbu Kefas (rtd) has resolved to tackle both internal and external security challenges that have bedeviled the state for years.

He said the state will enjoy peace and development under his administration.

In his inaugural speech at Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, the state capital yesterday, Kefas said insecurity had over the years undermined the development of Taraba and the people.

He therefore promised to engage security experts/stakeholders, traditional institutions, professionals and youths to tackle insecurity to handle the insecurity to the nearest minimum.

The governor said his administration would give priority to youths development, women empowerment and also enable the disabled.
