According to the government, this aligns with Governor Mbah’s promise to transform the state’s education sector.

The Mbah administration earmarked N158.78 billion, representing 33 percent of the state’s 2024 budget, for the education sector. This is the highest per capita and percentage of total budget sum in the country and higher than UNESCO’s recommended benchmark of 15 percent-20 percent of the total annual budget.
