Gov Mutfwang Celebrates Gen TY Danjuma At 88

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has joined countless well-wishers, admirers, and associates across the globe in celebrating a distinguished elder statesman, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) on the joyous occasion of his 88th birthday.

Mutfwang in a heartfelt message signed by his director of press and public affairs Mr. Gyang Bere described Gen. T. Y. Danjuma as “a symbol of excellence, an exemplary philanthropist, and a symbol of hope whose life has been wholly devoted to the defence, progress, and upliftment of humanity.”

He praised the elder statesman as a towering figure in national life, a fatherly presence, and an inspiration whose far-reaching philanthropic interventions continue to touch lives across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

“On this momentous occasion of your 88th birthday, we join hands as a people bound by a common heritage, together with millions of well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate our father, mentor, leader, and a General par excellence whose life story radiates service, courage, and greatness.
“You remain a priceless national asset and an extraordinary achiever who has enjoyed uncommon grace from God to lead, to serve, and to excel in diverse spheres of human endeavour. In uniform, you stood out as a courageous soldier and an astute strategist.”

He further stressed, “In business, you have distinguished yourself as a visionary mogul in the transport, oil, and real estate sectors. As a philanthropist, you continue to stand as a pillar of hope and a father figure to individuals, communities, states, and nations. In politics and public life, you shine as a statesman of depth, a mentor, and a guiding light to emerging leaders.”

Governor Mutfwang recalled that in his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians especially indigent women, children, and the elderly, Gen. Danjuma established the TY Danjuma Foundation, which has become a lifeline to underserved communities nationwide.

On behalf of his family, the government, and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang celebrates a forthright statesman and a beacon of hope, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, on this remarkable milestone.
