Katsina State governor, Umaru Dikko Radda, has inaugurated the Community Level Committees (CLCs) across the state’s 361 wards as part of his groundbreaking Community Development Programme (CDP).

The initiative is designed to strengthen grassroots participation, foster inclusivity, and ensure equitable development across all communities.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, Bishir Tanimu Gambo, the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, who represented the governor, highlighted the programme’s objectives.
He emphasized the committees’ roles in ensuring community-driven projects, transparency, and the inclusion of women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

“The keyword is partnership. Together, we can implement projects that directly benefit the people. This administration remains steadfast in delivering services that improve lives across the state,” Gambo stated, urging unity and collective responsibility among stakeholders.

Kamaladeen Kabir, the CDP’s state coordinator, outlined the programme’s structure, which spans three tiers: a governor-led Steering Committee, a deputy governor-led Joint Planning Committee, and the newly inaugurated CLCs.
