Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani has donated official vehicles to the Pro-Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, students and staff of the newly established Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia ahead of its takeoff in September 2025.
Governor Sani who made the donation during the progress review meeting with the University’s board members and stakeholders in Kaduna at the weekend, also pledged to support the institution’s infrastructure development by constructing roads for better access.
The University’s team was led by the Pro-Chancellor, Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Catholic bishop of Sokoto Diocese.
Speaking during the handing over of the vehicles to the University management, Governor Sani said it was in fulfillment of his administration’s promise to give necessary logistical support to the Federal University to smoothen the take-off of the institution in September.
“We are also working with security agencies to ensure a safe and secure learning and teaching environment, while engaging federal stakeholders and partners to fast-track the university’s growth and operational readiness,” Sani added.
For his part, the Pro-Chancellor, Bishop Kukah commended the Kaduna State Government for its support, especially in facilitating the establishment of the university and preparing it ahead of the admission of its pioneer students.
