Bobai gave the commendation in a statement following an insightful interview the General recently gave to Al Jazeera, where he elaborated on his strategic initiatives that have greatly enhanced Nigeria’s national security.

He said General Musa since taking office in June 2023 has led a transformative era in Nigeria’s military operations, focusing on counter-insurgency, modernization, and humanitarian efforts.

According to Bobai, the General’s impressive achievements are a clear indication of his strong leadership and commitment to safeguarding the nation.

He said “General Musa has showcased an unwavering resolve against extremist groups, successfully leading operations that have not only reclaimed lost territories but have also significantly hindered the operational capacities of these insurgents,”.

He said the rescue of 330 schoolgirls in Chibok, a highlight of Musa’s tenure, has been described as a beacon of hope amid a landscape marred by abductions and insecurity.

Hon. Bobai stressed how General Musa’s dedication to modernizing military tactics, integrating advanced technologies, and improving interagency cooperation has established a more effective and responsive defence sector.

“His approach to enhancing counter-insurgency operations and prioritizing military personnel welfare underscores a commitment to both operational success and ethical governance,” Bobai added.

He remarked that General Musa has initiated various social welfare packages that not only uplift military personnel but also create a foundation of trust and cooperation between civilians and the military

“By advocating for adherence to human rights standards during military operations, he works towards a more harmonious relationship between security forces and Nigerian citizens.

“Your confidence, poise, and insightful responses made us proud. You’re an exemplary leader and an inspiration to many,” Bobai said.

According to him, the commendation not only highlights the General’s respected status within military circles but also reflects the broader national appreciation for the reforms and efforts made under his command.

“As Nigeria continues to grapple with complex security challenges, the leadership and vision exemplified by General Christopher Musa will be critical in steering the country towards stability and safety.

The commitment to humanitarian causes and military modernization is paving the way for a new era in Nigeria’s defense landscape, one that resonates with hope and determination among the populace,” he added.
