The chairman-elect of Zangon Kataf local government, Engr. Joseph Bege Gaiya, has expressed his profound gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support in electing him, stating that Kaduna State governor Uba Sani’s legacy would be felt at the grassroots.
In a statement signed by him and made available to journalists, Gaiya thanked the people for their trust, describing it as a significant milestone for the community.
“As we celebrate this democratic victory, I urge all opposition parties and their supporters to join hands with us,” Gaiya said, emphasising that the election was not just his victory but a triumph for unity and progress in Zangon Kataf.
He further reassured that his administration would work collaboratively with everyone to improve the lives of the residents and foster peace and development.
During his campaign, Gaiya highlighted his commitment to addressing the challenges facing the local government and working alongside stakeholders to implement initiatives that would enhance the community’s welfare.
His plans, he noted, align with the developmental policies of Governor Uba Sani, who has been actively working to improve the state, particularly in rural areas.
“I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, for creating a conducive environment for the local government elections and for his dedication to the state’s progress,” he said.
He assured the people that Zangon Kataf would not be left behind in the governor’s vision for development.
Gaiya also extended his gratitude to the deputy governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the state APC chairman, Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada, for their unwavering support during the campaign period.
In a call for unity, Gaiya appealed to all stakeholders—traditional leaders, businesspeople, students, and youth—to continue supporting the local government’s goals.
“Let us come together in this new chapter of leadership, setting aside our differences for the greater good of Zangon Kataf. Together, we can achieve remarkable progress,” he concluded.
The election, which was held on Saturday, marks a new chapter for Zangon Kataf local government as the community looks forward to a future of growth and collaboration under Gaiya’s leadership.
