Gov Yusuf Celebrates Emir Sanusi At 65

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, has felicitated with the Emir of Kano, His Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose wisdom, courage and commitment to justice continue to inspire generations.

In a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, Governor Yusuf, on behalf of the government and people of Kano State, commended the Emir’s immense contributions to nation-building, education, economic development, as well as the preservation of Kano’s rich cultural and religious heritage.

The governor noted that Emir Sanusi’s distinguished record of public service had earned him widespread respect and admiration within Nigeria and across the international community.

He praised the monarch for his steadfast commitment to promoting peace, unity and good governance, alongside his advocacy for education, women’s and youth empowerment, sustainable development and economic reforms.

According to the governor, the Emir’s leadership had remained a beacon of hope and progress, not only for the people of Kano but for the country at large.

Governor Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the royal father good health, long life and continued wisdom as he continues to provide leadership to the Kano Emirate and contribute to national development.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining close collaboration with the traditional institution in advancing policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and consolidating Kano’s position as a centre of excellence.
