The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Kwara State, has commended GovernorAbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving 30 percent peculiar allowance for civil servants in the state .
The state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Saheed Murtala, gave the commendation in a letter titled, “A letter of appreciation on the approval of 30% peculiar allowance to core civil servants” addressed to the governor.
LEADERSHIP sighted the NLC’s letter dated 18th December, 2025.
The letter partly reads:” The workers in Kwara State are grateful to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for this remarkable turning point in the history of civil service in Kwara State.
” Your Excellency’s performance in the area of workers’ welfare has in our judgement surpassed the previous governments . This has earned you the praise and award of the best performing governor of the state since the return of the Nigeria to democratic governance in 1999.
” The workers in Kwara State have resolved under the platform of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to remain steadfast and focus in giving support to your government in order to achieve the millennium development goals as envisaged by the Kwara State government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON.
” We are optimistic of His Excellency’s conviction and dedication to other aspects of workers’ demands.
” The approval of 30 percent peculiar allowance for core civil servants in the state has added to your catalogue of approvals aimed at improving the welfare of workers in the state. We are deeply grateful to you and pray that God in His infinite mercy grant you additional strength and wisdom to continue with the good work.
” We believe other demands are achievable given Your Excellency’s past record of achievements as exemplified in your demonstration of compassion for workers in the state.”
