Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly set to return to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet, for the first time in four years. This visit is already generating fresh interest in a possible royal family reunion.
According to British media reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel from their home in California next month with their two children, marking the family’s first visit to the UK together since 2022.
The trip coincides with an event marking one year to the 2027 Invictus Games, the international sporting competition founded by Prince Harry for wounded and injured military personnel. The visit is also expected to reignite speculation about Harry’s relationship with the Royal Family following years of public tension after he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
Since relocating to the United States, the couple has spoken openly about their reasons for leaving, citing intense media scrutiny, online abuse and strained family relationships.
Harry has returned to Britain on several occasions in recent years, including for the funeral of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III’s coronation and legal proceedings. However, Meghan and their children have largely remained in California. It remains unclear whether King Charles III will meet with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet during the visit. The monarch last saw his grandchildren in person during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
With the Sussex family’s return now on the horizon, royal watchers will be closely following whether the visit marks another official engagement or the beginning of a new chapter in the family’s long-running rift.
