Governor Buni Appoints Kori As Lake Chad Basin Aide

Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni and chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum (LCBGF) has approved the appointment of Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori as special adviser on international relations and development and technical advisor to the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum.

This is contained in a statement issued by the press secretary to the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi, in Damaturu yesterday.

According to the statement, Dr. Kori’s appointment is in recognition of his past record of performance, dedication and personal commitment to the development of the state.

The statement said his vast international network and proven leadership would significantly enhance engagement with multilateral partners and accelerate progress across the Lake Chad Basin.

It said the appointment underscored the commitment of Yobe State and the LCBGF to leverage world-class expertise in fostering sustainable regional growth and international cooperation.

The SSG also conveyed the governor’s congratulations to the appointee, describing the position as “exalted” and a call to greater service.

Baba Wali assured the new adviser of the government’s highest regards and support in the discharge of his duties.
