Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, has condoled with the coordinator of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Damaturu Campus, Dr Muhammad Adamu Machina, over the tragic loss of his wife Hajiya Ladidi Haruna Godowoli and their two daughters.
Hajiya Ladidi, a former registrar of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu and her two daughters lost their lives in a road accident in Keffi, Nasarawa State while travelling from Damaturu to Abuja.
Governor Buni described their death as a huge loss to the family and Yobe, “but that is the will of Allah (SWT), our Creator.”
According to him, ” It is sad losing this great wife, mother and counsellor, and her two promising daughters in their prime ages.
“However, this is their appointed time and we should take solace in the saying ‘Inna lillahi Wa inna illahi Rajiun’. We are all from our Creator and unto Him, we shall all return” the governor consoled the family.
He prayed to Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljannatu Firdausi.
The governor also prayed to God to grant Dr Machina and his family, relations and friends, the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.
Governor Buni prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident.
