At the weekend’s flag off of the exercise in Birnin Kebbi, the governor, who was represented by his deputy, Abubakar Tafidan Kabi, said a safe and clean environment is the most profound preventive medicine against diseases and illnesses.

He added that the present administration has decided to reintroduce and reinvigorate the monthly sanitation exercise because of its peculiar importance to human health and the environment.

Earlier, the commissioner for environment, Musa Muhammad Tungulawa, commended the governor for supporting the ministry in carrying out the exercise, which will be monitored by officials of his ministry and the task force.

Tungulawa, therefore, urged the people to give the exercise maximum support towards achieving the governor’s mission.
