Governor Idris Raises Committee To Harmonise Primary Teachers’ Salaries

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has constituted a committee to harmonise the salaries of primary teachers.

The governor set up the committee after he held an interactive meeting with the officials of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), education managers, local government chairpersons, and other stakeholders at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the government decided to set up the committee after the NUT officials presented their grievances to to him during the meeting.

The governor said the government would look for ways to increase the salaries of primary teachers after the committee submits its report and recommendations.
