The general manager of the Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency Haruna Ahmed Imam disclosed this at the commencement of a workshop to enhance the capacity of community and group management committees of communities selected for the projects.

The workshop was aimed at equipping them with the vital skills and knowledge to effectively carry out the projects and ensuring its successful implementation and sustainability.

He stated that the GO-CARES programme execution commenced with seven communities and expanded to 28, then to 77 and now to 200 communities.

“The objective of the workshop is to empower community members with the tools and expertise needed to take ownership of the project and drive its success,” he said.

The GM emphasised the agency’s commitment to fostering community empowerment through collaborative projects adding that sustainable change begins at the grassroots level by investing in communities and providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge.
