Governor Otti Hails Abia Warriors Despite Federation Cup Defeat To El-Kanemi

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has congratulated players, fans, technical crew and management of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia for their remarkable performance in the just concluded president Federation Cup where they lost 0-2 to El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.

Otti, who praised the Umuahia-based team, said they made Abia State and Abia people proud in this year’s edition of the FA Cup and demonstrated tremendous improvement from their performance and records in the past editions.

The Governor commended the team for breaking the jinx and reaching the finals of the competition for the first time and encouraged them to use the experience as fuel for their next challenge.

He reminded them that every champion was once a runner-up who refused to give up.

The Governor thanked Abia people for massively cheering the team to outperform other teams till the finals of the competition and urged them to keep hope alive and prepare to lift the trophy in the next edition.
