Governor’s Trips Not Wasteful, Kebbi APC Replies PDP

The Kebbi state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has responded to the opposition PDP, stating that their governor’s foreign trips are not wasteful.

The APC said the PDP allegations are unfounded, adding that it is disappointing and misleading for the PDP to label the trips as “wasteful” or” a festival.”

In a statement issued by the PRO of the Kebbi APC, Isah Abubakar Assallafi, the party said each of the Governor’s trips comes from careful planning and deliberate efforts to attract much-needed investment and partnerships to drive Kebbi state’s growth and development.

“The governor’s engagement with foreign investors and development partners already yields tangible results in critical areas such as power, agriculture, infrastructure, education, and healthcare,” the party said.

“For a state like Kebbi, which aims to boost its economy and improve the welfare of its people, strategic international collaboration is vital. These trips are opening doors to opportunities that will create jobs, enhance technology transfer, and promote sustainable development across various sectors of our state.

“It is unfortunate that the PDP, instead of acknowledging the governor’s proactive approach to governance, chooses to play politics with Kebbi’s future. We urge them to engage in constructive criticism that focuses on our state’s actual needs and progress rather than baseless attacks that only distract from the real issues.

The people of Kebbi state deserve a forward-thinking, dynamic, and open-to-global opportunities government like Kauran Gwandu’s.

“Under Kauran Gwandu’s leadership, we are confident these foreign trips will continue to bring lasting benefits to our people and ensure Kebbi’s state’s position as a key player in Nigeria’s economic landscape,” the party said.
